R&P: Which out of the following 21st century songs do you like the most?
Hello R&P, I've complied a list of my favourite and well known 21st century songs to ask what everyone there favourites are. All artists are different, and there is a strong chance you've heard most of these songs before.
1. Knights Of Cydonia- Muse: Massively popular, among Muse's most well known and an epic song that inspires and entertains. Purely captivating, my personal favourite

2. Seven Nation Army- White Stripes: A signature song at the start of every football game, and like Knight's Of Cydonia, has become an anthem for people who desire to conquer
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0J2QdDbelmY
3. Stan- Eminem: A story of a crazed fan and Eminem, this song was a critical and commercial success, and its hard to find an Eminem song better than this. Dido's part is great too.

4. Maps- Yeah Yeah Yeahs: A love song that found its way onto the Guitar Rock soundtrack, Karen's vocals are sweet yet have a desperate tone to it. Beautiful.

5. Time To Pretend- MGMT
'I'm feelin' rough I'm feelin' raw I'm in the prime of my life' open the song about rock n roll cliches with hints of sarcasm and wit. Although 'Kids' won the commercial side, 'Time to Pretend' was a critical success and one of MGMT's best.

6. Rebellion (Lies)- Arcade Fire
Not my kind of music, but hit a chord with the indie crowd, 'everytime you close your eyes' is said over and over again, thought provoking and interesting

7. Everything In It's Right Place- Radiohead
First track off the very critically acclaimed Kid A, the only non-single on this list. Fusion of electronica and rock is considered both groundbreaking and alienating at the time of its release. One of my favourites

8. Clocks- Coldplay: Chart topping, successful, used in so many commercials and is a beautiful and pretty song. Coldplay's best, in my view

9. Take Me Out- Franz Ferdinand: Dance-punk song with an upbeat nature and are among the band's best and well recieved. Great song

10. Crazy- Gnarlz Barkley: Surprise hit, Rolling Stone's voted it as the best song of the last decade, a nice cool song you can chillax to. Love it, and most people who loved it were kind of unfamiliar with that style of music

BQ: If yahoo! let me add an eleventh link, what song do you think it should be?
BBQ: Favourite flavour of ice cream? (seeing as I'm an ice cream truck driver, lol)
I knew about additional details, but I didn't want too many songs to rank anyway, and my BQs could be sandwiched in, wanted to avoid that, but yeah Queens Of The Stone Ages and Green Day do rock though :)

Maybe in about 20 hours or so I'll do a round 2 maybe some Kanye, Queens Of The Stone Age, Green Day, System Of A Down, Libertines, The Strokes, etc. I really wanted to fit heaps of artists, but I didn't want to overwhelm everyone :)
Karl: About metal, this list is really just pop and rock songs, and I don't know much metal in the last 11 years
