    It depends if you chose the religion yourself and have RATIONAL REASONS to believe it, but if you just blindly follow then I considered that being brainwashed.

    The word "cult" has so many different definitions that it serves no useful purpose for communication, these days it's just used as an insult for any group you don't like. Here's the dictionary definition, notice how sometimes it's used just to describe a religion, sometimes it's used to describe an unorthodox religion.

    A ' cult' by definition, follows the teachings of an ordinary person, and as ALL people are imperfect, they too must be imperfect.

    Only Jesus can be classed as perfect...

    So any group who fully obey what he taught cannot be termed a cult.

    Matthew 28; 19,20

    Jesus never taught anything like the trinity... so any religion that promotes it is not acceptable.

    every religion, even Buddhism has people who are part of that belief's cult. Religion is usually flawless, people corrupt it though.
