Why don't Egypt and Jordan want their territories back?
Up until 1967 Jordan and Egypt controlled the West Bank and the Gaza Strip respectively. Both terrotories were conquered by Israel in the Six Days war. While Egypt went all mad about the Sinai Peninsula that was also conquered, They were both relatively quiet about those parts, which begs the questions- why?
Jordanians are Muslim, too, don't they want Jerusalem? Egyptians support the Palestinians, so don't they want to control them and give them "better treatment" than the "cruel Israelis"? And if they don't want those territories since they should be a part of "the Great Palestinian country", why did they hold it for over 20 years? Why didn't they give the Palestinians independence while they were in control?

From 1948 until 1967 Jordan and Egypt illegally occupied the West Bank and the Gaza Strip, respectively.
The Palestinian people did not exist until 1965.
Egypt and Jordan would be threatened by the Palestinian people and want to have nothing to do with them.
Now the hard left is finally talking about torture and other undemocratic abuses in Egypt and Jordan, as well as the despotism of virtually all Arab regimes. Do you recall any campus protests against Egypt or Mubarak? Do you recall any calls for divestment and boycotts against Arab dictators?
No, because there weren't any.
The hard left was too busy condemning the Middle East's only democracy, Israel. Radical leftists and campus demonstrators, by giving a pass to the worst forms of tyranny, encouraged their perpetuation. Now, finally, they are jumping on the bandwagon of condemnation, though still not with the fury that they reserve for the one nation in the Middle East that has complete free speech, gender equality, gay rights, an open and critical press, an independent judiciary and fair and open elections.
The double standard is alive and well on the hard left, and its victims include the citizens of Arab regimes who suffer under the heal of authoritarian dictators. Even more important they include victims of genocides, such as those perpetrated in Rwanda, Darfur and Cambodia---victims who did not prick the consciences of the hard left because the perpetrators were Arabs or Communists, rather than Americans or Israelis.

Just a moment.
Judea and Samaria never were "Egyptian territory", as well as Gaza never was a Jordanian one. Egypt and Jordan occupied them in the course of the war they started again Israel in 1948. I
In 1967, they again attacked Israel and lost these territories to Israel. But Judea and Samaria ( what you for some unknown reason call by the Jordanian- coined title "West bank") never were Egyptian territory. They were occupied by Egypt since 1948 to 1967, that is all.
So, don´t hurry to give to Egyptians the land of the Jews. If you are so generous with land, give them as much of YOUR land as you wish . But don´t touch what is ours.

Because in Islam, it's against the Quran for Muslims to be ruled by Jews, hence the animosity and terrorism. But you bring up a very good point. However, I hardly think that anyone (particularly Muslims and Pro-Palestininas) will give you an honest answer. They'll just come up with something totally unrelated to the question.

Israeli's are not foolish. We know giving independence will not stop the attacks against Israel by Hamas. The muslims tend to avoid that subject and believe peace will come with a state. Ya if it was that easy it would of been done 30 years ago.

Their "territories"?
I guess that's something the Israelis and Palestinians can actually agree on.

The Syrians don't want the Golan Heights, either. The region was offered to them over and over by Carter, and the Syrians said, "I'd take them back, but what will you give me to do it?"

Because they aren't our territories and if we take them back then we will bury the idea of a Palestinian state and we didn't give it independence while we were in control because it would have been as we handed it to israel because the Palestinians were unable to protect it.
Yes, we want back Jerusalem however not for us but for the Palestinians.

don't forget that in black september the PLO tried to overthrow Hussein, the king of jordan and establish a palestinian state in jordan.
the PLO failed (these days it could save a lot of trouble had they won), and the jordanian army killed about 20,000 palestinians, and the rest were deported to Lebanon. (where they took control of an entire region called Fatahland).
i guess that the jordanians learned their lesson.

You must of missed all the Palestinian flags being waved in the square during the revolution....... The Arabs will NEVER accept Khazars in the heart of the Mid East. So don't let a corrupt "leader" like Mubarack fool you with his friendship, because the people will always have the last word.
No Palestinian independece was given because the Khazars were, and still are, sitting on Palestinian land. It's only recently that SOME Arabs accept the idea of giving Israel a "right to exist".... but i never will.
