UVB Light Question for Anole?

So I am totally confused. Aside from a heat light, does the uvb light give off regular daylight to a lizard? If the lizard is in a room with a red heat light and a 5.0 uvb light, do I need to leave a bedroom light on, or is the uvb light giving daylight too?? Thanks.

Update:

So a white daylight heat bulb (40 watt) and a uvb/uva (reptisun 5.0), wouldnt be too much bright light in an anole tank? Thanks again.

Uva light is basically visible light, uvb light replaces the rays the suns put off. But uva is not as important as uvb, uvb does what uva alone does and more. So make sure your bulb says UVB/UVA not just UVA.

Your heat comes from a different bulb, i would use a day light basking bulb for anoles, the red bulbs cause a strain on the eyes of diurnal reptiles. The only uvb bulb that puts off heat is a Mercury Vapor bulb, but those will fry your anoles they start at 100watt and get really hot and cannot be used in anything smaller than a 30g.

Sorry i don't have time to go into more depth with this answer, make sure to stay away from coil bulbs, they are dangerous and cause eye problems.
