Gay's and LERB individual why it is so impotent to come out to people who will not appreciate you?

Why gay's and lesbian find it so impotent that they has to tell they're parents they're gay? when you know they're not going excite and understand your sexual orientation and most impotent what the need to expose your personal sexual desire to people who you are not into a relationship with? when you are sexual perfection and desire are privacy and personal and between you and the person that is in a relationship. The reason I am asking this because I can't understand young people want to embarrass and emulate them self with people who never going to understand you.

Update:

I am very impress with Super Nick reapply he understand the question for such young person and furthermore I realize it is not the 50's and at the same time I am not trying to stereotype people because I realize it is the 21st Century and a new generation and respect they believe I am not against just Curious why it is some urgent and not allow it a change to come out on it own in due time. I would like to read a few more answer before rule.

Update 2:

Super Nick, you was right about me not continue on my train of thought, because you mis-understood me I am not against the young generation way of expressing they sexuality. my question was why come out to people who never going to understand the situation in the first place. just live your life until due time when things has a way of solving it on self.

you make some good points, but only if you follow your train of thought. a lgbt person does not come out to their parents expecting something in return, they do it because they love their parents and want them to know. the next thing, sexuality isn't a private thing anymore. it's not the 50's. look around you, how often do you see a straight couple holding hands on the street? kissing? groping? quite alot huh? love isn't meant to be private, it's meant to be shared and enjoyed. we're just following ''your'' example. kids who come out aren't misunderstood. they are understood by their generation and misunderstood by the older generation, ''your'' generation. who didn't, and still don't, try to learn and accept minorities. i came out sophmore year in hs, i was perfectly accepted. you do always get jerks though, but those types are not the most liked demographic in school. the thing is i was fine by 95% of the students there. society even accepts us, like i said, except for the geriatric's.
