I've recently acquried a laptop as a gift and I was wondering?

I was wondering if I have to choose between my laptop or a carry-on when going through airport security. I don't trust the security so I'd rather not put it into my bag so any information on this subject would be greatly appreacted.

Put it inside the carry on bag.

Call and ask the airport if the lap top will be considered a extra carry on.

Would recommend to carry and keep the lap top with you at all times.

No I don't think so. I think the first 2 carry ons are free and than it's like 25 dollars each after that.

I would get a back pack and get your laptop and maybe your other carry on stuff in it also. That's what i always true to do. I take my laptop, iPhone, charger, toiletries, and a pair of cloths.

You are allowed one carry-on item and one personal item.

Laptops and purses count as personal items.

A classic trick is to bring a carryon large enough to insert your laptop into.
