I have an Acer Aspire 5600U and I was having trouble with The Sims 3. After spending the whole day trying to find the problem, I learned that the problem was with my graphics card. When I went to the Acer website and downloaded the 'update', I discovered that the update would be an older version of my current graphics card.

The question is this: do I 'update' to the older version or do I stick with my current version? For the record, my current graphics information is this:

Lets say that's there's an earth-like planet that already has a strong magnetic field, one that's able to stop most solar flares and radiation and a large amount of naturally occurring magnets scattered around the surface of the planet. These magnets are strong enough to add onto the existing field. Just how would this change up the creatures on the surface of the planet? Would they be weaker? Stronger? Unable to withstand radiation for long periods of time? And how would this affect the nature of the planet? Would life even evolve on the surface?

Well, I have NotePad++ and Java jdk1.6.0 and I was wondering what else I need. I don't quite know if I have a compiler or not. So do I have everything that I need or not? Do I need to download anything else and how do I install it on my computer, setting it up so that way I can access and use it without having to jump through about a billion hoops.

The details: My story is a science fiction story that takes place on the planet of Cydonia, home to the space faring Cydonians, which has just come out of a thousand year war in which 23 nations remain, with the story taking place on the Eastern Kingdom of Hul. The main character, Abney, is a returning conscripted solider who sense that with the end of the war a great and sweeping changes that will benefit everyone, and that as a Christen (yes I was inspired by the Bradbury story) it is her duty to help bring about his change. Trouble is, she doesn't know what the change is. Enter in General Mossulus, who is wanted by the king for 'subversive thinking'. Abney is sent to capture or kill him, and when she finally does meet him, he gives her his journal which details their visit to 1920 America, which provides Abney the inspiration of what the end goal should be.

For some back story, the inspiration behind them is a mix, with the main part was the creation of a race that has utterly mastered the way of war, insuring that they never come up with the wrong strategy in any battle. The second part was the Ray Bradbury story in which a space captain visit to an alien race is a moot point as Jesus Christ got there first.

Some more details: Cydonians are of human like build, only they have light blue skin with dark blue tiger like stripping all over, with jet black hair and red eyes. Their planet is exposed to a unique form of radiation due to their atmosphere, which resulted in all forms of life on their planet having much longer lives than humans, with the average being about 300 years. Days are 36 hours long, with 15 months in a year and exactly 30 days in every month.

They've managed to send life past their solar system and into others without having to rely on complicated life sustaining systems. They do have FTL engines, but there touchy and prone to shooting you far past your destination.

So now that you know all the boring details, lets hear those names!

Well like the question states I'm looking for a cheap scanner. It needs to be able to work with my laptop and it needs to handle 11 in. x 14 in. pieces of paper that are in either pencil or ink. Know any good ones?

I was wondering if I have to choose between my laptop or a carry-on when going through airport security. I don't trust the security so I'd rather not put it into my bag so any information on this subject would be greatly appreacted.

I plan on getting a laptop for school and need to know this. I'm looking for the best one at the cheapest prices, please.

What are the technical names for these crimes and how long would a person get?

Robing a bank and getting away with over 200 grand.

Killing several people.

Stealing several cars of varying makes, models and prices.

Buying and moving illegal weapons.

Committing murder for hire.

Adding criminals.

Burning down multiple types of buildings.

And of course damaging and destroying dozens of police vehicles.

The said crimes have been committed through out the United States and much of Western Europe.

Alright, since my last question was a bust, I'm going to ask a new one.

I'm writing a fan fiction story that is a crossover of Naruto and Halo (post Ark). The question is which of these two should gain the use of charka:

The Brutes (it just makes them stronger and more of an bullet sponge) or The Flood (they do stuff like walk through walls and become indestructible and appear out of nowhere). How they aqquire charka is The Brutes gain it by stealing the Tailed Beasts from Akatsuki (in a very bloody battle). The Flood by infecting and assimilating a free Tailed Beast (That's a whole lotta biomass) and the people in Naruto's world.

Also, tell me if it sounds like a good idea.

I need help with a costume for one of my characters. Her name is Lisa Anderson and she is a superhero. She has the abilty to control large amounts of fire, but she needs to have a source of fire first. She is armed with a 12-foot bull whip, Zippo lighter, and the Helghat sword ( a sword forged in Hell and has the abilty to gut through any metal) a the crown of flames, 5 flames aranged in a crown. She has blonde hair that's curls out and green eyes. She also lives in L.A. She's a kind person that acts as the school bully to protect her brother, who still gets bullyed anyway.

So, any ideas?
