Should I update my graphics card?
I have an Acer Aspire 5600U and I was having trouble with The Sims 3. After spending the whole day trying to find the problem, I learned that the problem was with my graphics card. When I went to the Acer website and downloaded the 'update', I discovered that the update would be an older version of my current graphics card.
The question is this: do I 'update' to the older version or do I stick with my current version? For the record, my current graphics information is this:
Display adapter type Intel(R) HD Graphics 4000
Total available graphics memory 1664 MB
Dedicated graphics memory 32 MB
Dedicated system memory 0 MB
Shared system memory 1632 MB
Display adapter driver version 9.17.10.2867
Primary monitor resolution 1920x1080
DirectX version DirectX 11 or better

You have Intel HD 4000 graphics. That is poor for gaming. That is an all-in-one computer, basically a laptop board inside a monitor. It is not upgradable for any video. Nothing you can do about it, sorry.
