Should I shave my head?
I have trichotillomania and am having a lot of trouble covering my bald spots. My hair is very long ( mid back) except for the top of my head where I pull from. I have about half an inch of hair on the top. I have been wearing a baseball cap because I cannot cover the bald spots, but I feel really self conscious sometimes. I have been considering shaving my head but i'm not really sure if I should. I am overweight and as dumb as this sounds, I am terrified I will look horrible and like a fat man with a shaved head. That is really the only option because I do not want to wear a wig. I would get a weave or extensions but there is not enough hair on the top of my head to do that. What do you guys think I should do? Are there any options I haven't thought of?
I'm afraid that if I get a wig it will look fake or fall off or something. They also are very expensive :/

Sweety have no fear of wigs. You dont have to wear a wig. Wear a "Lace front" or "full Lace". A lace front is a wig but it has lace in the front of the wig that you can part just like your real hair. A full lace is a wig made from lace but you can part it and wear it however you want: if you what to put you hair in a ponytail, you can, They are hardly detectable and look real and actually its a better investment rather than getting a sew in. Yes they are pricey but in the end its very worth it.

God made all of us in his image and you should not be ashamed of how you look, no matter who smirks or says anything about it toward you. You are beautiful in who you are. Shave your head, and if you don't want to wear a wig, by no means don't! But wigs can be mad to accommodate any previous hairstyle so no one will even know.

It's entirely up to you, friend.
God made you individually unique. He knows all about your condition & He knows your thoughts & how you feel. He loves you for you & nothing else. He'll still love you, whatever you decide & accepts you as you are. If you want to have your head shaved, go & do it. What others think about you doesn't matter & if people really love you they won't judge you. As Nike say's: "Just Do it !"

Get some weave or something but don't shave it.
My hair comes down to a little further down past my shoulders I don't wear weave but you could try it.
