Why did Fox News fire Geraldo and hire Rip Taylor to take his place?

Geraldo is still with Fox. he does a show on Saturdays and Sundays I believe. Perhaps Rip was filling in for someone on vacation. I often see Juan Williams fill in for O'rielly
