Lump on dog- want opinions?
Now, let me start this by saying, I have a vet appointment for the dog already. Tomorrow morning, in fact.
Boobs is one of my Danes. He'll be two in October. He was neutered this past spring. About a week ago, I noticed a hard, marble sized lump on his stomach. Today, it's the size of a fist. It's very solid. It's abnormally shaped and is much warmer than the rest of his body.
So, I guess I'm asking for opinions before I walk into the vet with him tomorrow. Any stories? Experiences with this kind of thing? It's got me very stressed out and anxious.
It's right at the lowest part of his belly. I'll try getting a photo up.

Where on the stomach? Could you post a photo on a photosharing site?
It could be a hernia but that would be flexible to the touch. It could be a bad abscess.
Unfortunately Mast Cell tumors can grow quite quickly and can often mimic other things.
I don't think anyone can guide you until the vet has taken a look and maybe done a biopsy.

That is very fast growth, even for a cancer. It is more likely to be a hernia. Restrict his activity so, if it is a hernia, the opening in the abdomen doesn't twist and cut off the circulation.
