If you're not preg...Why would you be late?

If you're 5-6 days late on your period, but you test negative...What else could be the cause besides a pregnancy? (I understand pregnancy tests can be incorrect)

    *Irregular cycle,you did not ovulate

    *stress

    *being sick/medications

    *significant diet/weight changes

    *hormonal imbalance

*menopause(not likely the cause for you though)

*anemia(iron deficiency)--this could make you unhealthy and unable to ovulate

If you still don't get your period in 2-3 days test again and see your doctor.

There are a lot of reasons from stress, to weight loss, or if you're taking a supplement that your body is adjusting to. If you're one of the people that has a very regular schedule, I'd check with a doctor just to get it out of your mind. If there are any significant changes that you've recently made, let them know and hopefully they can ease your mind. Before scheduling an appointment, talk with an advice nurse, usually they can address any of your concerns without having to go in. Best Wishes : )

    - Stress.

    - Hormones.
