Babysitting twin girls?
My mom had twins about 7 months ago, and she hasn't been able to work because she doesn't want to hire a babysitter until they're older, and the dad isn't around. I've considered offering to babysit for her so she can go back to work, but it's really hard for me to handle them both at the same time. If it was just one baby, I could do it no problem, but it's harder when there's two and they both need something at the same time. Any tips?

Well, they are now 7mts so they are out of the age where they need help doing everything.
I use to babysit twin boys but they were toddlers up until about age 3 or 4. I moved away from them.
Next I babysat twin boy & girl they were around 8 or 9mts when I started keeping them.
Honestly it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. The mom of the baby twins had her kitchen blocked off along with the hall so the babies couldn't crawl in there. We just hung out in the livingroom most of the time. They were with me at all times. When needed changed I would let the other one hold the diaper or something like they were helping me.
As for the older twins it wasn't that hard either.
I think it really depends on the kids on how well behaved they are.
Also plan ahead of time. Keep diapers & wipes in the room with you. Bags to type them up in. keep all this out of their reach.
When it is time to eat put them in their high chairs while you fix the food or maybe a playpen. It is a great idea to keep the playpen there at all times just to keep them safe while you go to the restroom or something. Keep the phone near by too.
How about going to visit your mom for a few days. Help out, get a feel for how it goes then see how you feel about it.
Source(s): homeschooling mom of 3 - I've babysat a few set of twins. Plus I use to keep group of kids ages 18mts-5 for a 3hr bible study.I often had at least 6-8 kids. Worked in Sunday school nurse, vacation bible school & taught kids during a mission trip. I'm raising 3 kids. - 10 years ago
Watch what your mom does when she's taking care of them and how she deals with them both needing something at the same time and once you know what to do offer to help

I don't know what you could do to make it just easier... Maybe have someone come and help you? A trusted friend of yours or your moms? But the best way is to just do it on your own and get used to it and it gets easier. Maybe suggest to her putting them in daycare? Kinda young but still an option.

its not going to hurt one baby to let her or him cry until ur done taking care of the other one

If you have any other siblings it helps, little kids like to 'help' while youre babysitting
