The "Irish Hills" are a beautiful part of Mich. to be in no matter the reason. The track is the closest to the major car manufacturers and has a ton of history. The track was built for Nascar and they have been running there since '68, Indy since '94. If I wanted to see an open wheel race it's Indy but for stock car's I'd choose Michigan International Speedway in a heartbeat. Wherever you go enjoy yourselves and I hope David run's well.

Go to Indy for the Indy 500, the cup race there is normally boring, well so is Michigan. It depends on what you want, theres alot of great history at IMS. It would be hard for me to choose, I've been to the Indy 500 15 times, I've never been to a Nascar race there, never been to MIS. But if I had to choose I would pick Indy, based on history there and a great museum.

Depends on the tires. Remember Indy was a track that Goodyear had problems with the tires once. As long as they got those problems resolved then Indy would be okay, but attendance has dropped there. Northerners still look at NASCAR as a redneck sport, so the people there would probably suck.

Michigan! Indy sucks as far as NASCAR goes. I mean any NASCAR race is awesome no matter where they race, but the Michigan track is more set up for NASCAR racing, and you will have a better NASCAR experience. If you want to see a race at Indy, go see the "Indianapolis 500". If you want to see a good NASCAR race go to Michigan.
