Why is my peugeot 107 automatic making a bleeping noise?

Is it shifting up gears properly? if the gearbox is faulty it bleeps like this.

or if you try to shift down in semi auto mode too early.

I am convinced it's a gearbox fault, but you should take it to a dealer or a garage to have a scan. there should be code stored somewhere.

HI - The bleeping noise you have described is your clutch. I had the same problem where the bleeping started, mostly when I was going up an incline on the motorway and then I noticed the rev counter going up. I put the car into the garage for a diagnostic and they could not pick anything up. I continued using the car when all of a sudden the rev counter went to six and smoke poured out. The RAC attended and diagnosed the clutch. From the bleeping starting, I think I got about £3k miles before the clutch went. Hope this helps. I looked on a number of forums looking for an answer, so now I have found out for sure, thought it would be helpful to anyone else looking.

completely stumped not too sure but only take it to dealers as a last resort beacuse they charge £90 just to put a diagnostic tool in the sockets go to your local back street garage (take a look at good garage scheme for a reputable one) get them to reset the ECU & take it from there

Do you have your hand bag or something similar on the passenger seat? My Peugeot drives me nuts if I put something on this seat as it thinks some lard **** is sitting there without their belt on! If it is this, move it or stick the seat belt in the clip.
