Survey: What is the most lonesome sound you know?

Update:

Interesting: nobody said the whippoorwill or the sound of a train whistle blow. To me a wolf call is music to my heart, crying is loneliness, silence is time with our inner self and God, but "help" is a very lonely sound.

    Actually the most lonesome thing is the quietness of a room as you get ready for bed & you realize u are alone & about to sleep alone once again.

    i can't decide whether it's peaceful or lonesome...but...hearing a cow mooing, or a bull bellowing in the pasture after dark.
