Will we get our Social security checks this month?

Yes. The debt ceiling isn't expected to be hit till next month. After that, it's somewhat up to the discretion of Obama for what gets paid. There's plenty of money coming into the government to pay all of its obligations (debt payments, socsec, military paychecks, etc), but Obama may want to exact pain on the people in retaliation for not raising the debt ceiling just he did back at the budget impasse.

I thought I saw him saying that unless our government gets it but in gear with the spending he can't promise anyone will get their social security checks in SEPT.
