Is 28 degrees celsius too hot for a house?

My family hasn't turned on the air conditioning since summer started because we want to save energy(and bills)! Some people are telling me that it's not a fit living condition and that I'll get sick. Personally, I feel fine. I think I've gotten used to it already because 3 weeks ago in school, this classroom had no air con and people were dying. I was wearing a sweater and I actually did not feel hot at all. I open lots of windows in my house so there's plenty of breeze.

BQ: What temperature is your house right now?

A little warmer than 'comfort level' but won't hurt you at all.

Congratulations on the sensible decision your folks made.

"Some people" are simply spoiled rotten.

There are still some of us around who remember when air conditioning

    was not a common luxury.

We wouldn't consider 28 C. anything to even notice.

My house is currently at 21 degrees celsius, and even that is on the warm side for me. I would be miserable in 28 degrees. It's good that you want to save energy though. I save during Winter because I hardly use the heat because I like the cold, so it balances out. You can just handle the heat better than a lot of people. You aren't tougher than everyone else. If my house was set where yours is set at, I would get nausius and headaches, and I would be covered in sweat in thirty minutes.

My body just doesn't handle heat well, but it takes temperatures below zero before I am uncomfortably cold. I can always put sweaters on during Winter to save on the heat bill, but during Summer I find that much harder to do, because you can't take but so much off.
