Lol! Your funny! You were board, right? Well first of all, trees can't talk and if they could they wouldn't talk to strangers. Remember, don't talk to strangers, (this isn't funny) because they could abduct you and kill you. Always remember, STRANGER DANGER! lol

They do!
First, a tree has never met a stranger, they only appear board. It's knot that they can't and don't want to talk, they seem to break their sentences into splinters that have difficulty taking root with speaking folks.
I once had a pine tree that whispered great gentleness as the delicate wind encouraged it to sway to and fro. It towered over the land, calling to all "can't you hear me?" Creaks and groans echoing from all the tree neighbors convinced it that indeed it could speak, but could not be heard.
Maybe you should listen better....just say'n.... ;-)

Who are you idiots anyway? I've been high most of my life and I've never had an inanimate object talk to me... I've never thought I Was flying over a city... or seen cartoon characters come to life... What is the media teaching people... Watch "Reefer Madness" If you want some more ridiculous propoganda.
@ the Asker : I suspect they don't understand (or speak) english, and since I don't understand (or speak) tree, there's really not much for us to talk about!

you don't talk with a tree.... you listen as they talk to you...... go to the edge of the Grand Canyon... embrace one of the age-old pinon pines there... gnarled and twisted, it's watched a lot of time go by as it grew.... it can tell you tales you'll never hear anywhere else.....drop by the great Sequoias living area.... put a hand on its trunk and feel history go by you..... be there when a great oak is felled.... let lose a tear at its passing.... find yourself in an old growth forest on the top of a WVa mountain on a cloudy day.... you're among friends.....stand in a tall pines forest in GA when the early spring breezes are blowing, and just listen..... you'll hear all the secrets of life..... and all the words of fear at the passing of the ages -old forests.... I hear them.... because I listen...
confirmed tree-hugger....
