    I has also had that question but I got my answer:

    the PS3 is better but really, it matters on what kind of games you like.

    These are videos which explain exactly which one is better:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fARdxkovMhQ PART 1

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m_gGAHYBKT4&feature... PART 2 and 3

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zmHY_VnuDdE&feature... PART 4

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEXro9yZpZs&feature... PART 5

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lKSt5Motxw&feature... PART 6

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xyq5yu3_dGQ&feature... PART 7

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YkP0ejSBfUk&feature... PART 8

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uv_t2nwEeCg&feature... PART 9

    //www.youtube.com/watch?v=5-ezdt8dj4Q&feature=fvwrel PART 10 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOtQW0DmS94&feature... PART 11 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_dJ3Y9X8gI&feature... PART 12

    Maybe these videos are to long for you so let me sum it up:

    PART 1 = Controllers, both consoles have good controllers but the xbox one that.

    PART 2 = SKU as in the packages they offer, they both have confusing packages so no console won.

    PART 3 = Designs, both look nice but PS3 won this.

    PART 4 = CPU, Ps3 won this.

    PART 5 = GPU, xbox won this.

    PART 6 = User interface, PS3 won this.

    PART 7 = Online experiment, Xbox won this,

    PART 8 = Media Playback, PS3 won.

    PART 9 = Multiplayer Platform, Xbox won.

    PART 10 = Exclusive games, PS3,

    PART 11 = The Future, Xbox.

    Part 12 = PS3 PS3 PS3 PS3 PS3 PS3 PS3

    and the PS3 is the best.

    IS THAT ENOUGH???/

    :) :) :)

    Xbox 360 has reliable servers and a larger mass of people so there is a more variety of people to play with. Originally, the 360 was cheaper in price compared to the PS3. The PS3 has small controller, don't really like them that much. PS3 does have blu-ray which is a good feature. The free PSN service is nice except their servers are just awful. PS3 usually has a worse selection of games that are unique to itself. The Kinect for the 360 is better than the PS3 move because it doesn't require extra controllers which just makes the PS3 make you spend more money.

    Overall, there are much more reasons to explain, but in the end, I believe the Xbox 360 is better. If it had a blu-ray player, there would be no contest.

    I have used both and here is my Adv./Dis. to each console:

    Xbox 360

    * Controller is nicer to hold

    * Online network much more reliable and has more features like cross-game chat

    * Connects to your PC for media etc.

    * Can only play DVDs

    * Online costs £39 a year

    * Cheaper than PS3

    PS3

    * Much nicer exclusives (aka Killzone, GT5, LittleBIGplanet)

    * Can play Blu-Ray (HD)

    * Lets you play some games and video in 3D

    * Online is free

    * Online network is sometimes unreliable and lacks killer features, but makes up with a Sims-like service called Playstation Home

    * Expensive

    My opinion is that the Xbox 360 is worth going for if you are willing to pay money each year to have a near-flawless online network; however if you would like to watch movies, play music, etc. you should be looking at a PS3. I have a PS3, the main reason is I have many friends using the online service, I am used to using a Dualshock controller and I like the exclusives. The Xbox did feel a lot slicker though.

    Source(s):

    Self (I own a PS3 and have used an Xbox 360 a few times.

    Personally I would go for a PC; the only problem with them is the 'upgrade cycle' :P

  • The Xbox 360. Why?

    -Better online gaming (though you have to pay for it)

    -Better exclusives (PS3 does have worthy titles as well, such as Uncharted or Infamous)

    -Better controller (I cannot stand hold that awful boxy PS3 controller)

    -No stupid forced updates (seriously Sony, all I want to do is watch my Blu-Ray, not wait 3 hours for you to freaking update)

    -DLC usually comes out for the 360 first (I have no idea why, but whatever)

    -Design improves over time (red ring of deaths have been rare in consoles from 2 years ago), whereas PS3 seems to get worse (seriously, no PS2 compatibility?)

    That's not to say that the PS3 doesn't have its advantages, such as the Blu-ray drive, free online, and the usage of normal hard drives. But people's arguments that the PS3's graphics are superior to the Xbox 360's are invalid, as graphics do not determine the quality of games (this can be observed in the late '80s, with Sega shoving 16-bit down consumers throats while pointing out the fact that the NES was only 8-bit, therefore inferior, while in reality, it was only inferior hardware-wise).

    If you're looking for a wider entertainment value, the PS3 is the way to go. But from the view of a gamer, the 360 is the superior console.

    Ps3

    Blu ray- more storage, supported by all major film producers

    3d - for all games and movies

    CPU - 8 cores much faster and efficient

    All models have full hd and wifi connectivity something which a lot of xbox 360's don't

    Rechargable batteries standard for controllers

    FREE online - and also saves a lot as opposed to $60 a year

    Can use as a wifi router

    Menu is much easier and simpler to use also looks better

    No red ring of death

    Expandable hdd where you can upgrade with any suitable hdd without voiding warranty. instead of having to buy a whole new xbox console

    Looks better smooth and modern as opposed to dented looking box

    Controller is MUCH more comfortable and stylish to hold as opposed to holding onto a gigantic beast

    Get lots of free psn stuff regularly

    Has steam connectivity to chat to friends on pc

    Has ps move which is incredibly accurate, precise and easy as opposed to kinect which is unresponsive difficult to use and more hazardous

    Has ability to make your own dynamic themes

    Easily connect and play many file types from a media source

    Has music unlimited, qriocity, vidzone which have a lot in the millions of music tracks movies and music videos for download

    Has psp, pc, phone remote play so you can play ps3 on your other devices when away

    Has play tv which allows you to record your shows while watching another or playing a game

    Get regular free updates and if they're not important you don't have to update

    Has good exclusives eg. Gran turismo, killzone, ratchet and clank, little big planet, motorstorm etc

    PS3 is a better media system in general. You have the ability to do many things with it, including 1080p and blu ray features. I personally like it as a gaming system as well, and I like the small, convenient controller.

    XBox 360 is good for online gaming, unfortunately you have to pay for it, but you get what you pay for.

    PS3, because:

    -Graphics tend to be better

    -Blu Ray game discs and Blu ray player built in

    -FREE online gaming

    -Better exclusives like Uncharted, Kill Zone, Metal Gear Solid and Gran Turismo, Little Big Planet

    -Hardware is more durable and doesn't get ring of death like Xbox 360 does, more reliable

    -Controller has never changed through the generations so it's still easier to use

    Source(s): PS3 owner, used to own 2 Xbox 360's one dies and one got ring of death
