Does champagne go off? Does this mean it was date produced or goes off?

Translation..After the years of ageing in our cellars, this bottle was "degorgee" (had the lees from the"in bottle" secondary fermentation removed in December 2009

The bottle was then re-sealed with a "Champagne cork" (same bottle) labelled, packaged and shipped to wherever you bought it..sounds like it is good quality, what year`s vintage is it..good Champagne is cellared for anything up to 50 years before disgorgement. Grande Marque Houses in Reims have cellars full of ageing wines.

Degorgement, the degorgee on the label, is then they remove the sediment from the neck of the bottle the champagne is aged in and put it in the bottle it is sold in.

Probably the date it was produced. I don't think I've ever seen an expiration date on wine or liquor. If the champagne was stored properly, meaning in a cool place and on its side, it should be good to drink.

That's when it was bottled. It will be fresh until opened for about 10 years. Once you open it, drink it within 24 hours.
