I want to make a career out of helping others get out of debt, but how do you make a living doing this?

I am a big Dave Ramsey fan and I totally believe in what he does that allows people to help themselves. I know he makes fantastic money doing what he does, but how would I do that unless I get book deals, a radio show, etc? How do you make a living by helping people get out of debt? Seriously? It's entirely counter-intuitive in the purest sense, but yet there are obviously applications for it and people who do it everyday. Any help is SINCERELY appreciated!

Dave Ramsey did not make money starting out. In fact, he went bankrupt before realizing the mistakes many people make with personal finances. With credibility so dependent on experience, an aha moment such as this would almost be a requisite for anyone to follow. In fact, attempting to book media appearances without one would be difficult, especially in today's tease and hook media. Also, while he has numerous employees and most people with his visibility often have guest hosts, even he seems reluctant to expand beyond the current one face format.

Rather than emulating a concept that was actually founded by Debtors Anonymous before Ramsey was born, it may be easier to solicit, edit and compile testimonies of individuals who have reversed their own situations.
