How much would the iPhone 5 cost at launch?
It is most likely going to be launched around September/October this year. What are the prices going to be like approximately? If I want it on a contract with 600min and Internet, would that be around £40 a month and free handset?

The price depends on your plan and carrier, but they remain close to the same year after year, cuz apple then drops the prices of the newly older ones upon the launch of new models.

The iPhone 4 was £400 but it's not £429 because of the VAT changes. I'd expect the iPhone 5 to cost £429 too as has been the trend in the past. When it first comes out you'll probably have to pay between £50-100 for the phone on a £40 a month contract depending on your network.
