  • Stupid question: What's the word of the simple injury?

It's a simple thing, just can't remember what its called.

It's kind of like when you have your knee scratched and the skin comes off but there isn't really any bleeding. It's not called swelling, but...? (cant remember for some reason)

  • How much would the iPhone 5 cost at launch?

It is most likely going to be launched around September/October this year. What are the prices going to be like approximately? If I want it on a contract with 600min and Internet, would that be around £40 a month and free handset?

How much was it when the iPhone 4 was launched?

I can't seem to find a summary of what the game is all about. Is it just shooting around or what? I think I read it is set in the second world war but what do you need to do in the game?

And finally: Why the * do people get sooo overexcited by that game? What is so damn special about it?

  • Is it dangerous looking up stuff like Al Qaeda, weapons, Bin Laden, etc on the Internet?

I mean if you look up stuff like this, is this going to cause suspicions to the FBI? I heard there are certain key words which if you type, will alert the FBI immediately and they can track using IP who entered them. I just want to read up on all this stuff on wikipedia, but I'm too scared I might get into trouble like that...

  • Should you celebrate Bin Laden's death?

I mean, okay he did all the terrorism and lead the Al Qaida and stuff, but it is completely inhumane to celebrate someone's death.

To me if you celebrate it, it means you are no better than Bin Laden himself.

    Opinions on that please

  • I'm sick for work, but how the [...] am I supposed to get a doctor's note?

I've got a bad flu today and can't go to work today. I contacted my manager and he said I should bring a doctor's note. When I contacted my gp, the next appointment he has is Friday afternoon. I'm sure I'll be fit again by then.

How is that supposed to work?

  • Why did people get so excited about William and Kate's wedding?

I mean both of them have absolutely no power. The king in the UK doesn't even mean anything. They just live in their royal family and do nothing for the country or anything else.

So, why did millions watch their wedding? What's so special about it? To me their wedding is not any more special than when David Beckham married. Why all this hype and excitement?

Can someone please explain? Millions of people watched it live and billions on TV. But why? What is so special about those two people?

  • My camera always shoots 3 pictures in the Shutter Priority mode !?

I'm confused. My Panasonic FZ30 keeps taking 3 pictures at once when I pick certain shutter speeds. I don't know why. On some speeds it only takes one and on others it takes 3. I checked, but the burst mode is off as well (where pictures are taken continuously).

    What to do?

  • Memory Card Error on Panasonic Lumix...?

I just bought a new 16GB SD Memory Card, which works perfectly on my Sony Cybershot W350, but doesn't work on the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ30. It keeps saying "Memory Card Error, please check the card". The original card that came with the Panasonic camera is 32MB and that works perfectly. I also used a 2GB one, which I lost, which worked perfectly.

So, the card is working, and the camera is working, but both together don't work together.

I tried formatting it to everything that was available (exFAT, NTFS, and FAT32) but none of them solved the problem either.

    Any solutions to that please?

  • What is this cable called? [Pics included]?

    http://p.lefux.com/61/20090714/A08150000L/InsetIma...

Please check this picture above and tell me what the name of this cable is. I need one that has this on one side and a normal UK socket on the other. It's for my digital camera's charger, which I only have the battery bit but lost the cable.

Anyone know? I'll need to buy it from ebay, but don't know the name.

    Thanks.

  • My legs get way too tired from working at McDonalds...?

I work at McDonalds and everyone else there seems to easily get through the job, but after now 5 weeks working, I still get too tired when I finish. I can barely stand any more after hours standing nonstop. I thought I would get used to it, but haven't yet after 5 weeks.

Is there a way to solve this problem (get less tired)? Is this normal in almost any job?

further info: Male, aged 19, work 7/8 hours including 45min break (which is not always in the middle of the shift).

And no, I can't find another job, so can't change to something else.

    Thanks

  • I want to build muscles, but my parents won't let me...?

(I'm a boy and) I want to go gym to build muscles and stuff, but my parents say its just for appearance and attention, so there is no need to build arm muscles...

    How can I persuade them?

I've tried saying that It's for fitness. But they say: "Do cycling, swimming, running, for fitness. No point of building arm muscles"

Are there actually any benefits other than appearance and attention?

  • I keep practising, but can't build muscles...?

What I do currently and have been doing for the past 4 weeks now (at least 5 days a week):

    * 5 sets of 15 push ups during the day

    * stretching rope exercise (5 sets of 20)

    * 5 sets of 20 tricep dips

    * 5 sets of 3 pull ups on a pull-up bar

I don't have dumbells at home, so can't really do them. Are they absolutely necessary to build muscles? Is there anything wrong with what I am doing currently?

Why doesn't it work / What should I change or improve on?

    Thanks

I haven't had a physical exam since around ~2004, so in other words for more than 7 years.
