How much of a raw chicken thigh should my dog get?
We might start feeding 100% Prey Model Raw diet soon, but for now we are introducing raw meat plus kibble. (Not at the same time, not even in the same day, and the day before they get Blue Buffalo Wilderness canned). So far we have fed pork necks, and tomorrow we are giving chicken thighs.
We normally give pork necks but since tomorrow we ARE giving them a chicken thigh, I was curious about how much they should get.
Each of my dog's weigh around 20-25 lbs.. (That's the average for them both, it fluctuates often for some reason). They get one can of BBW a day, or half mixed with half a cup of TOTW. There is 373cal/cup per TOTW dry, and 450cal/can of their favorite formula of BBW. The chicken thigh has skin, and the closest thing I could find to the amount of calories in one was 135 cal., which is certainly less then what I feed now. I don't know if that's the cal content in a raw one, this was sources off of the Mayo Clinic site.
We were planning on feeding one raw, with bone, to each dog. Would this sound about right, or should they get more or less?
Sorry I've been asking a lot about this lately. And how late I post..the only time no one else is on is before supper and before bedtime.
Anyway, thanks and let's hope some experts are actually on. :o)

Is this going to be a full meal or a snack? My two dogs weigh about 10 lbs each and they can easily consume a whole thigh in one sitting. If you are feeding this as a meal I would recommend 2 thighs or go for a chicken quarter which is the thigh and drumstick.
As long as you don't have overeaters I would give them a few peices and let them self regulate. My dog's are perfectly content with walking away from extra RMBs if they are full. I out the leftovers in a ziploc bag and save for the next meal.

That sounds about right. I know that a 50-60 pound dog gets a whole leg. You may want to switch a thigh one day and a drumstick the next.
