I dont call balanced raising taxes in the face of an economic depression. The problem is massive debt, raising taxes won't raise any significant revenue. The shortfall month over month is 140 billion and you can't raise taxes high enough to close that gap. There's going to have to be huge budget cuts. Cut the food stamps, end the EPA, HUD, Department of Education.

80% was a bit high but there have been many polls that show from 57% to 72% of Americans in favor of tax increases on the wealthy in combination with spending cuts.

It is the 80% of those on welfare. The other 20% don't watch the news, cartoons are more to their liking, and of course what Vinny said!
