Who is the better soul singer?

Marvin Gaye or Al Green? I partied with Al Green but never met Marvin Gaye.

    This is not a easy Q, really both, for different reasons..styles same, but also very different..Marvin could just whisper a song, and hit ya...Then there is Al, that voice is all consuming.

    Al Green is the King of Soul no question he has many hits for 4 decades and still keep at it.

    Both before my time but I'll go with Al Green. My mom and grandma be jamming to his music all the time. So it grew on me.

    I feel that Al Green is pretty good. it's tough for me to have to choose one since they are both awesome, but i would have to say Al Green is just a tad netter in a way.
