When can I go back out in the sun after my sunburn?
I'm in Myrtle Beach, SC on vacation with my parents and the first day we arrived, we went to the beach. Prior to coming down here, I had been tanning in a tanning bed so I could get a decent base tan. When we went to the beach, however, I still got really burnt and the past 2 days, Ive been drinking lots of water, applying aloe every 4 hours or so along with taking some Ibuprofen (for inflammation), and just staying out of the sun. It sucks because my family goes to the beach, and I have to stay back and be bored all day. The pain has subsided for the most part and the redness has gone down quite a bit. I was just curious if I put SPF 50 or higher on, would it be alright for me to go to the beach at least for an hour or two?

I would stay out of the sun all together for a few days and then make sure you use at least 30 SPF sunscreen that is waterproof the entire time your out after that until it is all healed up.
