My Printer won't stop Printing?
I have a small Hp Deskjet 1000 printer. I went to print out and put in the settings in In the Interim I have difficulties with jammed paper. But now my printer keeps printing out the same documents. I have unplugged the cords to the printer and have even turned off my computer. And still keeps it keeps printing Please don't say let it run it course as I have 5 sets of a 21 page document. I have simply turned off the printer and it still won't work. Any Suggestion?
I have restarted my printer and I do not know how to cancel the demand. I need a process because I do not see an ICON that I can go into the printer page. I do not have a restart on my printer as far as I can see.

It's doing it because all the print JOBS are stored in the printers memory, because someone kept hitting the PRINT Button over, and over again, and now that it is finally printing, that is what it is doing...
HIT the CANCEL button on the PRINTER itself...
Source(s): UNPLUG IT, then wait 30 Secs, then Plug it back in... - 10 years ago
You must have asked it to print multiple pages by accident. Easy to do with some setups and switching off the printer will not cancel the command you will have to go to your printer setup page, look at pending print jobs or queue and cancel everything listed there. After that holding in the cancel button on the printer for half a minute should finalize the cancellation.
If problem still persists then disconnect the printer cable from the computer to the printer. Turn the printer on and see if it prints anything or just comes to ready. If it comes to ready, the printer is fine and your issue is software. I would delete the printer from windows if that is what you are using and reinstall. If you are not using windows or have some dos program you will have to find the printq file and delete it otherwise it will continue to attempt to print. Reconnect and see what happens. If it does not come to ready with the cable disconnect then you probably have a formatter issue with the printer.
