If you have not been keeping up with current events, just because the majority of Americans agree on something it does not mean political parties will do what the public agrees on. For example; 53% of Americans agree that the PPACA should be repealed, but have the Democrats done that? No they went completely against what the majority of Americans agree on and do the exact opposite. Sorry but both Republicans and Democrates do what is in favor of their party regardless of what Americans agree on.

I am not a republican but I usually vote for them.

We should start making the 50 percent of Americans who pay no federal income taxes at all pay the same share as those of us who do pay!

No actually the Republicans want this as the for their plan, any "revenue enhancers" must have the same amount in cuts giving the math a net zero.
