Flying with Icelandair...?

I'm flying from New York to Iceland and then from Iceland to Amsterdam with Icelandair Airlines. There is a stricter baggage policy if your flying within Europe. Will my checked bag be reweighed when I get to Iceland for my flight to Amsterdam? Otherwise is there any reason not to pack the amount allotted for the flight from New York to Iceland?

    Call the airline and ask. That's the ONLY way to know for sure.
