Is it worthwhile to fill out job applications online?

For retail & restaurants. Does anyone ever get hired that way?

I am starting to feel like no..... though I am not applying for retail/ restaurant work~ So very over that.

If you are looking for something hourly or a serving position, I would walk directly into the establishments during their down hours to fill out applications. Dress nicely and be prepared for immediate interviews. (Take a few copies of your resume and be prepared with references.)

Apart from that, going to your local Chamber of Commerce or to a networking event may help you with finding a job. Always keep resumes with you just in case. (And look the part. If you're applying to be a server, keep your nails tidy. If you're applying for retail, dress the part.)

It depends on whether the potential employer will even accept in person apps or not - nowadays, most employers will NOT accept in person apps ( with exceptions of independent stores, restaurants, etc ) and will ONLY accept online apps..........................you just need to apply wherever you can
