Questions about dying my hair?

Ok, I have thin hair it's blonde and a lil dirty blonde, I want to dye it a lil lighter and get one of those hair dye kits that come with the higlights and all that already in it...

I use heat in my hair about 4 times a week.

WOuld it be a bad idea to dye it..?

Don't dye your own hair using a kit. It will turn out orange. Going lighter should only be done at a salon or have a friend that knows what they are doing bleach it with bleach. Bleach is different that dye, you should use those only to go darker, but I still wouldn't recommend it. You can buy bleach at like Sally Beauty supply and they can tell you how to do it if you want to do it yourself. DON'T USE THE KITS FROM THE STORE. It will damage you hair and turn it brassy orange and you'll have to get it redone which will damage it more. To go lighter it really is good to just do it right in the first place shell out the money to have it done and they will get just the right shade for you.
