A friend collected old jewelry, and arranged it on fabric and framed it. It was in the shape of a Xmas tree, even had a piece of star jewelry at the top. I would guess the frame to be about 18 inches long.

Another project with old jewelry is a bride's bouquet made out of brooches.

A picture can be done with buttons, make all kinds of different holiday designs. Or make geometric designs for a room.

some blocks of wood, some old wire clothes hangers, some old wooden thread spools and some wooden decorations make for a really cute art. Drill a hole into the block of wood, straighten out the hanger, inset it into the wood. Thread a whole spool on it. Glue a half of spool onto the back of the wooden decoration, and insert and glue the other end of the hanger into it.

    Voila, art.

You can use flying angels, cut the wood yourself, or buy already cut and or painted wood shapes at the hobby shop. Even a pretty piece of driftwood.

Actually, you can use anything you want on top of the wire.

Make a refrigerator magnet out of almost anything. Shells, wooden shapes, bottle caps, and on and on. If the item will accept some super glue, you are in business. Hobby stores sell magnets that you can glue on your choice of item. A friend used scraps of fabric sewed into the form of a bonneted little girl, sewed it onto some felt, stuffed it with poly-fill, and sewed it up and glued on a magnet. Cute, and you could make any shape of whatever you wanted.

I took an old peach peck box, it had wire handles, and lined it with fabric, and arranged buttons on the box to button on the fabric. I just hemmed some fabric I got in the remnant bin, and used a peach box I had bought peaches in. You could line 1/2 bushel baskets, adorn them with ribbon, and sell them.

You could make tiny furniture like for a doll house.

How about making useful things from recycled items such as once I saw the cut-off base of two plastic bottles secured using a zip, and it was used to keep earphones tidy.

You just need to think of 'storage' to get started. Store unruly cords with something decorative. Store mail with something that looks nothing like a mail sorter etc.

    Good luck ;)

you may use any left overs like ice cream sticks, unused or not in use wires, boxes or cardboard papers, anything. in fact, your project will look simply awesome and great if you incorporate various things.
