Why do the RAF operate the MQ-9 Reaper out of Creech Air Force Base?

Why , instead , don't they operate it in the UK?

    I concur with MAJ Kev.

Creech is the home of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle operations in the United States. The world's best UAV operators fly there, so it makes sense for UK UAV pilots to train there. The UK does operate their Reapers out of bases on English soil.

The RAF does operate the MQ-9 out of the UK.

However, they train on it at Creech..... just like several other countries do. Creech is the home of the US's UAVs, so it makes sense for foreigners to train there.

There are a number of foreign air forces that train in the US. Some even have permanent establishments, such as the Luftwaffe.
