Is my dog pining for his big brother ?
Our beloved Golden Retriever passed away 6 weeks ago, we have another dog which is a Lhasa Apso .
They grew up together and where inseparable, they where together right to the end.
His confidence seems to have gone, he loves to be in contact with other dogs but since losing his Big brother he quite often falls prey to more dominant dogs when out on his daily walk.
He is still eating and seems quite happy but has lost his character.
Is it too soon to think about introducing a new brother for him into our home? and is it that he is still pining for his best friend, its heart breaking.

2 AnswersMathematics9 years agoRoyal Marines or Parachute Regiment?
m just after a bit of insight. I recently failed my medical for the RAF Regiment but i can still be a Marine or Para. Originally i was going to go for para but a load of ex-army instructors i know told me not to go anywhere near the paras as there is a lot of bullying and peer pressure in the paras and apparently they are the worst in the army for behavior. I was gutted to hear this as i was rather interested in it. They recommended i look at the Royal Marines as they are 'thinking soldiers' and very professional in comparison to the paras and ''would never fight each other as they are a brotherhood'' . Is what they were saying true? as im currently leaning more towards the Marines. Thanks in advance

1 AnswerMilitary10 years agoColor Perception and jobs in the Army/RAF?
I recently had my medical for the RAF Regiment and i appears i have failed due to my color perception score ( 3/4) , so i'm just wondering if anyone knows what jobs in the Army / RAF this score would preclude me from. Thanks in advance
1 AnswerMilitary10 years agoWhy do the RAF operate the MQ-9 Reaper out of Creech Air Force Base?
Why , instead , don't they operate it in the UK?
2 AnswersMilitary10 years agoWhy is the West hated so much?
I've had this discussion with some people from the east i know , especially the middle east for some reason and ; don't get me wrong im not pointing the finger , but it seems that there is massive hatred , disliking , abhorrence and mistrust of western countries like the UK and the USA. I just can't understand why. We are making peace in Afghanistan , made Iraq a better place and always intervene if a country is in turmoil. So why are we so hated?

Will the spending cuts affect recruitment into the RAF or any other branch of the UK military? Will the armed forces stop recruiting for a while?

2 AnswersMilitary1 decade agoI am thinking about joining the RAF but am conflicted whether to join as an officer or as an airman?
I have the qualifications to become an officer but i don't know whether i could be an officer , as i am not confident with new people but very confident with people i know ; i would feel more comfortable telling my friends what to do rather than people i don't know. I have no issues taking orders so the role of being an airman would not bother me at all. I am interested in a lot of jobs in the RAF such as the regiment , intelligence and operations support so any insight into differing roles of airmen and officers in these trades would be helpful.
Kind Regards
Kieran
