Why do people....liberals in particular.... hide from debate / discussions?

Time and time again I have engaged people in a discussion / debate on an issue.....Presented facts and proof.....only to have them call me childish names..... make outrageous statements.....then block any further communication...... The latest was a lady(?) who calls herself " T O "..... she claimed there were no WMDs....the Wikileaks document dump proves otherwise.... not to mention a host of other sources.....

She claims Bush was / is a "war criminal" yet a Swiss jurist verifies Bush did not break any international laws.... not to mention the fact everything he did was known and approved by Congress ..... and ultimately the American people (he was re-elected).....

The sign of a truly intelligent person is a thirst for knowledge.....a quest for truth..... a willingness to debate

How many people have you blocked ?....... Why did you block them?.....Are you a liberal or a conservative?......

Despite being called childish names...... accused of outlandish crimes...... slandered and defamed ..... followed and attacked on other posts.... I have never blocked anyone....nor hidden my profile in part or in whole..... I welcome other / conflicting opinions.....I sometimes learn things

PAUL... Not true....there were many WMDs in Iraq.... some were even used against our troops....news reporters were even injured.... while the 500 "old" shells were still dangerous.... were still technically WMDs... I am not even talking about them.... want a list of these WMDs.....be glad to provide one.....to include live bacteria and viruses found in the homes of several Iraqi scientists...

Washington DC has turned into a plutocracy.....a huge swamp.....elect a "prince" and they gotoWashington DC and turn into a toad

    Anyone who hides from a debate, obviously does not actually know what they are talking about.

    If someone reverts to personal attacks, quickly claiming RACISM!!!, or just avoiding debate altogether, it's a good bet that they're not the sharpest tool in the shed, but are definitely tools.

    I haven't blocked anybody. I have been blocked by several CONSERVATIVES.

    There were no WMDs. We were told the smoking gun might end up being a mushroom cloud. The WMD's found are remnants of what he had more than a decade before the war. No active programs to develop WMD's were discovered. If Bush told us we were going to war over a few obsolete shells of mustard gas I don't think we would have swallowed it.

    What the hell are you talking about. Come to a politics forum at gamefaqs.com. That's where we discuss in topical form.

    All you care about is taxes as a priority over everything else and you are racist. We can't ever progress if you bring in your racism and you thinking it's funny.

    Liberals do not run from a healthy intellectual debate, we do, however, run from the ideological hail of straw-man arguments that many conservatives call debate.

    You really cant have healthy debate with a progressive, its that simple. Put your time and energy into getting them out of office.
