Is it true that jockeys secretly give signals to others if he is going to win on that Horse?

Is is true or rumour that the jockeys give "secret"signals like the way he holds the whip, hand signals to let those "bookies" if he/she is going all way out to win? And vise verse .If yes ,is there a way to see the signals? Curious to know.

No, if a horse loses its jock then it is disqualified and cannot win the race. Most of the time when this happens the horse will veer off around the quarter pole. This happens every once in a while. There have been rare occasions when I have seen horses without a jockey cross the line first. When I was younger I would think that they were the best horse in the race. However, running without the weight of the jockey on their backs really makes a difference.

No..Fixing a race or races is highly unlikely and a very series crime. And the truth is that a horse race would be more difficult to fix more than just about any other activity on which money is bet. To cheat or fix a horse race so that a result of a certain order could be achieved, a criminal would probably need to get seven or eight jockeys and five or six trainers to put together a game plan, which is highly unlikely. The fact is many who have thought of or even tried to arrange fix races have lived to regret it.

I see it as impossible to rig races. In stake races and horse racing in general, it's every man for them-self, so to speak. Seems losers are always the complainers who put rumors in place, they bet more than they can afford and lash out at the Jockey, etc... otherwise question would never be. Best for those to walk away from the sport rather than stab the sport, because there's no guarantee for anyone, if betting on horses you must accept there's no guarantee, take your chances, don't bet every race, and certainly don't bet more than you can afford, and be sure to double check your picks for accuracy. Keep in mind each and every Jockey is in the game to gain profit for themselves and the owners they work/race for.

Games can be played - especially with "parking" a sulky in Standardbred racing - but it isn't as if a jock or driver is going to announce to the universe (since races are taped at a variety of angles) that a fix is in. The key is to make things look legit, not toss warning flags from the top of the stretch to under the wire.
