Car Audio Help Please?

So we have a 2004 Club Car Precedent and were in the process of improving it. We've already added a 6" lift and much much much bigger wheels. What we want to do next is install an audio system. Our only issue is looking for a nice subwoofer. We are leaning toward a Pyle PLTAB12 which is a 12" tube sub and will fit. The only problem is there are mixed reviews on this product and I was wondering if anyone could give me some more info on either this product, or another sub that might be better.

Update:

T:

As I stated, the ONLY issue we have is with finding a decent subwoofer. We already have a nice set of Bose speakers we're installing on the golf cart. Again... this is for a golf cart. So the problem is getting decent quality sound with having a subwoofer that will fit. Thus, the reason I mentioned the tube subwoofer because it would fit in the back easily. Not to say I'm not willing to do a little work and cut a hole to put a regular sub in the back, because that wouldn't be very hard. Just trying different options right now.

i have over 10 years experiance in car audio /video installation an im gonna sayDO NOT BUY ANYTHING PYLE ITS ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. stay away from walmart audio. pyle, dual, pyramid, lightning audio its all junk. if you want a good sub an amp go with something like memphis,j.l audio, infinity, kicker, polk audio, rockford, alpine type s, all these brands are good, some better than others but all real good. they all make good subs an amps. good luck with your truck. an if money is not an issue id go with memphis subs an amp. just my opinion. very very good quality an clear sound an bass response.

An audio system consists of much more than a subwoofer. What is your budget? You can spend 50 bucks on a p.o.s. Pyle Subwoofer or spend upwards of 1k on components from high end speaker companies like Dynaudio, Focal, Morel, Helix, Scanspeak, etc etc.

Buy yourself an aftermarket head unit.

    Buy yourself some aftermarket speakers.

If you are on a budget, only replace your front speakers. You truly hear 80-90% of the music up front. Do you sit in the back when you drive? If you are NOT amplifying your speakers, get coaxials. If you do plan on amplifying your speakers, get some descent component speakers and throw them up front.

If you still have money left, a subwoofer would blend nicely with your components:) You do not need multiple woofers, just buy one. Pick your size, pick the model you want. Figure out the type of enclosure it recommends and DIY. You will need an Amplifier for this, in most cases. Find a Mono. A lot of times you can find a 2 channel amplifier and bridge it. This is usually cheaper.

...Still have money left? Highly recommend getting kick panels up front to house your component speakers in. Imaging, soundstage will improve!

...any ching left in the wallet???? BUY A PROCESSOR! This will complete your system and blend it all together, well if you get it tuned properly.

...and finally if you still have money left, well gosh idk ha. You could Swap out your 2 way components, and go 3, or maybe evan 4 way. This will force you to dtich your crossovers, and go active which would allow you a greater flexability of mix matching tweets, midranges, mid bass, etc.

I almost forgot, sound dampener is never a bad idea, unless you are doing a stealth instal in an EVo or WRX and weight is an issue ha. but I take it that wont be an issue if you have a lift kit on your vehicle

    Cheers!

Overall Id say go with Boston Acoustics.

Sure you are going to get idiots on here that will say go with FI or Ascendant audio, but dont listen to them. Sure they are great audio brands but more geared towards SPL. An audio system includes much more than that. A lot of companies Shine on certain things. Like many people love the sound Of Morel Supremo Tweeters, but like the punch of Boston SpZ Mids. While People find Boston has edgy tweeters, and DLS lacks mid bass. I could write a book on audio, and never finish. Most of it is peronal preference. Its what each individual likes, is what matters. So head on down to your nearest audio shop and take a listen for yourself. ....and no not circuit city or best buy ....

    cheers from Southern Minnesota!

For feeding music to the audio device, same stuff. for buying skill to the amps, must be plenty greater because of the fact of decrease voltage. And earlier you waste a great form of money blowing out your ears, making it troublesome to concentration on site visitors, and demanding the heck out of your friends, why no longer in basic terms positioned on earphones as a substitute of becoming a wheeled growth field?
