Funny how a lot of the "10 commandments" came from the code of Hammurabi and other already existing "laws," huh?

By the way, in my country, it's not illegal to have sex with a married woman. Oops.

    Peace.

It's not against the law to have sex with a married woman.

The Code of Hammurabi is a well-preserved Babylonian law code, dating to ca. 1700 BC. It is one of the oldest deciphered writings of significant length in the world.

According to Jewish tradition the Torah was revealed to Moses, in 1312 BC at Mount Sinai so the Hammurabi Code was wrote 400 years earlier.

Earlier collections of laws include the Code of Ur-Nammu, king of Ur (ca. 2050 BC), the Laws of Eshnunna (ca. 1930 BC) and the codex of Lipit-Ishtar of Isin (ca. 1870 BC), while later ones include the Hittite laws, the Assyrian laws if you think that a deity who need other cultures deities to invent writing to stop passing his word orally.. is not a curious fact...then laugh

Sorry, but most of those predate your imaginary tablets.

I don;t know about where you live, but it's not against the law to have sex with a married woman where I live.
