Hpv positive and pregnant?

I recently found out I have HPV I'm not sure which type I have. I was wondering, what labor was like for any woman who has had hpv. Do the nurses make a big deal about it? Do you get your baby right away or do they clean the baby before you even get to see your baby?

I too found out I have HPV when I was pregnant. I was around 14 weeks and developed warts. I had the laser ablation and I haven't had any since. If you have warts then you have a low risk strain, if you don't then you have the high risk. Either way you should get regular pap smears from now on. My doctor never made a big deal about it. After the laser ablation he never said a word about me having HPV and the nurses didn't either. It really is not a big deal. If you have any warts I am sure your doctor will either prescribe you something or do the laser ablation. (Which is A LOT more painful then they let on. Actually more painful than after birth) So that you will be able to deliver vaginally. You will get to see your baby right away. :)

Most women have HPV. It is the "welcome to not being a virgin anymore" STD.

Since they have a vaccine now this will change overtime, but no precautions are done for HPV, since more women have it then do not.

I know it SOUNDS scary, I mean, it is also an STD and only one letter from HIV right???!!!! But really it is not at all similar, the only consequence of it is an increase in cervical cancer (which is why adults do yearly pap smears).

Nothing will be done about it, and I doubt the nurses will mention it.

If you have warts they may want to remove them, but otherwise most likely no one is even going to bring it up.

Men cannot be tested for HPV, and they don't make a big deal about testing women for it because it is not a big deal. They kind of just assume everyone has it since most sexually active people do. You can get it just from foreplay, doesn't even need to be intercourse.
