Possible Yankee 2012 Free Agents?
I think the Yankees will make a huge splash in free agency due to the emergence of the Red Sox, which of these players do you think the Yankees will get?
Top Free Agents (My Chances in Parenthesis)
CC Sabathia (100%)
CJ Wilson (50%)
Roy Oswalt (45%)
Chris Carpenter (40%)
Yu Darvish (99%)
Heath Bell (30%)
Jose Reyes (40%)
Albert Pujols (10%)
Prince Fielder (75%)
I think Yu Darvish is a lock, the Yankees will get one of the top pitchers (Wilson Oswalt, Carpenter in that order) and Prince Fielder will listen to CC Sabathia and DH for the Yankees. If CC Sabathia opts out of his contract he will quickly re-sign with the Yankees. I almost didn't put in Jose Reyes but I think Jeter will move to the open outfield spot and Reyes will take over shortstop, Reyes has been quoted many times saying he loves New York and there are doubts if the Mets have the money to re-sign him.
Yankees Probable 2012 Line-Up:
C: Austin Romine
1B: Mark Teixeira
2B: Robinson Cano
SS: Jose Reyes
3B: Alex Rodriguez
LF: Brett Gardner
CF: Curtis Granderson
RF: Derek Jeter
DH: Prince Fielder
Batting Order:
1. Jose Reyes
2. Brett Gardner
3. Curtis Granderson
4. Mark Teixeira
5. Prince Fielder
6. Alex Rodriguez
7. Robinson Cano
8. Austin Romine
9. Derek Jeter
SPs:
#1: CC Sabathia
#2: CJ Wilson
#3: Yu Darvish
#4: Phil Hughes
#5: AJ Burnett
RPs:
Mariano RIvera
David Robertson
Rafael Soriano
Hector Noesi
Andrew Brackman
Notable Minor League Players:
Manny Banuelos
Dellin Betances
Ivan Nova
Jesus Montero (AKA Trade Bait)
Notes:
The Yankees will likely trade AJ Burnett to make room for Banuelos or Betances in the rotation or they could package Burnett, Montero, Nova and Banuelos/Betances (pick 1) for Felix Hernandez, but I doubt that will happen.
Any comments and critics would be welcomed.
Of course the Yankees would help pay Burnett's contract or send over a minor league prospect instead.

Did you seriously take the time to type all of that? lol
Prince Fielder
Jose Reyes (resigning with the Mets)
CJ Wilson (resigning with the Rangers)
Yu Darvish
Then trading for Felix Hernandez?
That's the dumbest thing I ever heard of.

Even if the Yankees could get someone to take Burnett they would be paying a large part of his contract because nobody is going to take his contract for his numbers. Burnett is still owed close to $40 million in the next 2 1/2 seasons and with a 8-8 record and a era over 4 its a tough sell unless they still pay $20 million of his remaining contract for him to play somewhere else on top of paying Felix Hernandez $15-20 million per year during that same time so you'd actually be paying close to $30 million a season for Hernandez. Those numbers just don't add up.
Also, signing Reyes probably won't happen either since Jerek Jeter is still owed $30 million through the end of 2013. So I don't think they are going to give Reyes a $17 million deal per season and have Jeter DH for that kind of money.
I would say no to Fielder as well, he's not going to go to the Yankees or Red Sox and neither is Pujols. Both of those teams don't have the room for him and neither are going to DH or platoon at 1st with anyone. It doesn't make sense to take a GG winner like Teixiera and take games away from him in the field and also cut down Fielder or Pujols' games in the field plus the ridiculous contracts both will get too.

Yankees fans are so stupid. You think that you're entitled to all top free agents but Cliff Lee proved you wrong, didn't he?
You claim that Darvish is a "lock" to be signed but I suspect that one of the teams that scouted him in high school -- Seattle, for example -- will have a better shot a signing him. Fielder could possibly be signed -- Fatassia is trying to talk him into coming to NYC -- but he's also looking for a deal in excess of $200M. I doubt even the Yankees will pay $20+M for a DH. If they sign Fielder, they'll probably deal Teixeria.
Reyes most certainly will be traded within the next week and the team that deals for him will probably sign him to a long-term deal immediately. Word is that Reyes is going to hire Scott Boras as his agent, so he'll probably want at least a 7 year/$125M deal. I doubt the Yankees will pay elite shortstop money to a player who has had injury issues, whose defense is overrated, who does not hit for power and whose base-stealing skills will decline in a couple of years. On the other hand, they just did that this year with Jeater, so if they can swing a deal for him it could happen.
Nobody is going to take Burnett. Like Jeater, he's overpaid and underproductive so the team is stuck with him. You mention Burnett and a bunch of scrubs for Felix Hernandez: Dream on.
The bottom line is that you have the team adding at least $15M in players salaries, plus whatever Fatty gets, that will only marginally improve the team. And what's to say that these players won't sign with Boston? The Sox could certainly use a shortstop.

Dude with Jeter and Arod on the team we are not going to sign a full time DH.
Are you stupid or are you a dumb@$$? Haven't you heard that Felix Hernandez contract says that he doesn't want to be traded to any top team, including Yankees. So he can't be traded to us even if we offer them our entire team and all of our money.
Manny Banuelos is the best pitching prospect out, why trade him anyway? And we will only trade him for a young roy halladay.
And Jose Reyes and injury prone player, will not be on this friggen team. Get rid of you Santa List you fake Yankee fan.
And even with the emergence of the Red Sox we are still right there with them. All we need is another number 1. That's how they're beating us. Their starting pitching is better than ours, that's it.
