I wouldn't eat any of those. Even though salt is quite hard to avoid, just be careful if you do, I'd avoid garlic and especially onion entirely.
I had my tongue pierced about six months ago and I did a lot of research before hand.
Don't eat chips, based on personal experiance, it hurts.
Mostly stick to soft things, like ice cream, drink a lot of slushies, it helps it swelling, suck on ice, soup is a good choice too, like chicken noodle soup. I ate twinkies too, so soft cakes or like those ho ho's are okay. Just focus on SOFT food, not something that will require you to chew a lot.
This is only for a couple of days, but just be careful, don't chomp down fast and hard until a week or so because if you accidently bite on your piercing it will hurt, A LOT. After I would say 3-4 days or when you notice the swelling going down you can start eating harder foods, but just made it gradual, don't rush into eating a giant chocolate bar or a piece of stake. Just take it slow though! It'll be worth it!! (:

It will burn so bad! I recommend things like apple sauce for the next 2-3 days. Then salty garlic foods.

i had to just eat soup for ages, and dairy free ice-cream feels good on it lol!
Just don't drink beer, you can get a yeast infection, and avoid dairy products (that's why i had dairy free ice-cream)
