WAL-MART CREDIT CARD?
Is this the card where you pay $3 to activate? I can't tell the difference from the Wal-mart Money Card. I have atleast $85 and I want to order some clothes off the internet for school. I just need the datails about the Wal-mart credit card, i guess.

The credit card is like any other credit card. You apply with a cashier or at the Money Center or Service Desk, they approve you and you get to use the card. Monthly payments and interest and all that jazz. If you're approved but have not-great credit, you get a card that you can only use at Wal-Mart, walmart.com and Sam's Club. If your credit is awesome, you get the card that's backed by Discover and can be used anywhere.
The pre-paid debit card with a $3 activation fee is not credit. You only have access to the amount of money you put on it. There's a $3 monthly fee, $3 fee for loading cash onto the account and $2 fee (plus a bank fee) if you use an ATM. Otherwise it works like a debit/credit card. You get a pin# and can use it anywhere.
I don't recommend using the Money Card (the pre-paid debit card) for a one-time purchase. It's designed to be a long-term account. If you use it once and don't terminate it, they will keep charging the fees and you will be responsible for paying them.
If you're going to walmart.com, you're better off buying a gift card and using it online. Just pick up the card at any Wal-Mart or Sam's Club (no fee whatsoever) and follow the instructions during checkout.
Whatever you decide to do, READ ALL THE TERMS! When you use these cards, you're agreeing to all the fine print. Believe me, you don't want to have problems down the road just because you didn't pay attention.

Retail store credit card holders have access to merchant-specific perks such as sales, items or even prices that non-cardholders don't. However, those who hold a co-branded store card have access to those benefits and more. For example, right now co-branded Wal-Mart credit card holders receive Wal-Mart benefits and also those available to all Discover cardholders. With each passing year it seems that Wal-Mart gets stronger and stronger. If they have ever appeared even a little weak, they have come back even stronger than ever. With their Wal Mart Credit Card they constantly prove that they are the best at financing and the best at offering incentives to their customers. Once the partnership changes, cardholders lose the perks specific to Discover, but gain the ones that come with MasterCard.

I believe you might be confusing 2 different cards. I believe the money card is re-chargeable where the credit card is a whole 'nother animal.
Not sure how old you are, but you cannot get credit cards these days until you're 21. Certain special circumstances will allow you to get one at 18, but it is extremely difficult.
