Where can I find a good sweater pattern?

I'm looking for a nice, simple sweater or cardigan pattern for either knit or crochet. All I am able to find online is stuff that looks like it's from the 70's or 80's and I want to make something that looks like a shirt I would buy in a store.

Does anyone know any good links to free, modern sweaters or cardigans?

I like lionbrand.com. They have tons of free patterns from beginner to intermediate. Also check out amigurumi. Just type the word into the search. I've made tons of those stuff. Very cute.

Not a link, but may be helpful, anyway. If you live in a municipality of any size, it is likely that your local publlic library has dozens of books of knitting patterns, some of which will consist entirely of sweaters. Just make sure that the book wasn't copyrighted in the 1970s or 1980s :-).
