Proponents of DREAM are saying it is not amnesty.
Opponents of DREAM are saying it is amnesty.
Who is telling the truth and what all can be said to convince people that the DREAM Act really is amnesty or not.
I know the DREAM Act can be perceived as amnesty given that more than half of all illegal immigrants in America came here illegally. But the DREAM Act is for children of illegal immigrants, not for the parents.
I can understand people crying foul if the parents got to stay but they can't(Even Dick Durbin has stated that the parents have to go)

The DREAM Act really would be amnesty if it said the parents could stay with their children, but they aren't so this isn't really amnesty.
