Illmatic first. Then Reasonable Doubt and Ready to Die. All are classics and some of the best in hip hop.

Here are some albums you should take a listen to.

Listen to Nas's Discography with the exception of Nastradamus - Illmatic, It Was Written, I Am..., Stillmatic, God's Son, Street's Disciple (there's some filler on this one), Hip Hop Is Dead, Untitled, and his newest album Life Is Good when it comes out in September

Common is great too - Notable albums are Be, Like Water for Chocolate, One Day It'll All Make Sense, Resurrection, and Finding Forever

Jay-Z- Blueprint, Reasonable Doubt, Black Album

    Gang Starr- Moment of Truth

    Rakim - Paid in Full

Wu-Tang - 36 Chambers, Forever, Tical, Ironman, Supreme Clientele, Liquid Swords, Only Built for Cuban Linx 1 and 2

    REKS- Grey Hairs, R.E.K.S.

Lupe Fiasco -The Cool, Food and Liquor

A Tribe Called Quest, Gang Starr, and Pete Rock & C.L. Smooth are all great artists to get started on.

BQ: Illmatic, then Reasonable Doubt, then Life After Death. You should listen to Ready To Die if you haven't already.

@Asker - I'd listen to Ready To Die or Illmatic first. Both are great.
