2003 Saab 9-3 headlight problem?
I just got a 2003 9-3 from a dealer last night and I was checking the light.I thought that there should be running light as the car turn on but the low beam did not turn on even after I turn on the switch. However, the high beam works fine. I wonder how to solve the problem. Thanks!!!

All you need to do is replace the "Low Beam Bulb", it is a Xenon Hi Intensity (DS2). Now the High Beam is an (H7) Halogen bulb. Both of these bulbs are in the same projector housing. Click On The Link, below to watch how to Replace The Low-Hi-Marker bulbs.
Good Luck !

I just bout an 03 saab 9-3 a few days ago too!!! My lights dont work either. the "parking lights" pg 72 of the manual ..symbol shows on the dashboard and my lights are on but when i turn the handle thing on the left it doesnt do anything! At night time the yellow part on the outside of the light doenst go on and i cant get it to turn on at all!! I can turn my brights on and off but the lights are a no go! The dealar ship said that there wasnt an issue but they were going to check them again. Buying a used car off a car lot u should get a 30 day or 1000 mile warrenty on ur car.

I have a Saab 9-3 SE Convertible. My high beams work but not my low. Changed relay, fuses and bulbs. Bulb is for both high and low. What can I do to resolve this?

The very small bulb is purely cosmetic. It's so the whole headlight assembly has light. In other cars, when you use low beams, only half of the glass part emits light. The designers thought this looked ugly, I presume so they put in a tiny lightbulb so the inner part of the headlight assembly also was somewhat bright when only the low beams were on.

make sure the switch is really on, and if you cant seem to figure it out check the fuse and try disconnecting and reconecting the battery.
and if not then the dealer LEGALLY has to fix it because its ILLEGAL for your headlights to not work.
