Hi, i know its a long shot but i recently switched out all of my cars interior lights to LED's. I switched out EVERY interior bulb EXCEPT for the rear reading lights, those i left the normal bulbs. Now.. everything works perfectly, the lights turn on when i unlock the car.. all of the buttons to turn them on and off work..

EXCEPT for when i turn the car on. Once i turn the car on NONE of the LED's will go on when i press the buttons to turn them on. Once the car has been started they will only work if you either open the door, or turn on the rear reading lights (which are original non LED) then the front LED will flash and after that all of the interior lights will work perfectly...

I know its a wayyy long shot but does anybody know what this could be?? Do you think they would all work fine when the car is on if i changed the two rear Non LED reading lights to LED's??

hi, recently my 2003 saab 9-3 has been switching over from outside temperature to "DTE" (distance to empty) at 30 miles as it should.. but my gas guage says i still have 1/4 of a tank.. and my gas light is not on.. this makes no sense! normally my car says i have 30 miles till empty when the gas light has already been on for a while.. and the needle is on the second red line.. Why is my car telling me i have 30 miles till empty when i still have 1/4 a tank?? is there any way i can fix this such as disconnecting the battery?? or something? how do i reset all the computers and such?? and yes i have already filled the tank and ran it down twice.

i 100% doubt anybody will know this.. but i'll give it a shot:

yesterday i noticed that in the yellow illumination square under the speedometer - next to where it tells you the miles there was a small cluster of pixels that were staying lit. it is in the shape of a random blob and covers up a small part of any image that shows up there (such as the i for "information" or the "traction controll off" symbol. i turned the car off and then on again - it did not fix the problem - the pixels stay lit no matter what. does anybody know of this problem? its a very very small blotch that stays lit - but i am meticulous about my car and it will bug the crap out of me if it has to be stuck there.

i was wondering if anybody knew why the cigarette lighter in the 2003+ model saab 9-3 slides back and forth?? anybody know? if so please tell me. it would be nice to know the reason behind it. lol.

okay, so i have a 2003 saab 9-3 which often makes a lottttt of rattling/squeaking/clunking noises going slowly over rough roads. anybody else have this problem?? <just wondering.

but what im asking is - when the front suspension depresses (like at the bottom of going up or coming off a very sharp hill... so basically when the front of the car is pushed down with a significant amount of force) i hear this sound like my car is bottoming out - but i KNOW its not... what could this be. its completely fine when going over bumps and such, but if theres a smooth dip in the road when then front of the car gets pushed down toward the ground, it sounds like bottoming out - a scraping noise..

what could this be? ps: sorry its a bit hard to explain.

so.. i've gone through a lot of trouble with mice getting into my car. so far they've done only $200 worth of damage - but they keep coming back for more no matter what i do.

they never get in the actual car, just crawl around the engine bay. my car sits in a carport that is absolutely NOT mouseproof and most likely never will be. I put 20 or more mothballs in the carport so my whole carport wreaks. i also saw online to put cut up bars of soap around the car.. put 3 bars of soap under the engine bay, in the car, and all around the perimiter of the carport. and lastly i have 5 mousetraps loaded with cheese placed around the car, by the front tires, and around the perimiter of the carport. oh and ps: they are not getting cought in the traps, and the mothballs dont work because i put some in the engine bay and they pooped on them...

Besides all of this i KNOW mice are still getting in my engine bay because i always find a bunch of mouse poop and chewed up acorn bits and lots of other miscellaneous mouse particles.

PLEASE PLEASE help. i want to get rid of them before i have a big big big bill on my hands.

ALSO: do not reccomend mouse poison or anything that would kill them (unless it kills them instantly - like traps) because then the mice will eat the poison - crawl into my car's vents and die.. theres your repair bill right there.

gotta go there to get my permit test wondering if they're open. i will call them tomorrow to find out for sure.. but i was wondering if anybody knew?

i just noticed today that the "climate control" part of my dash is not lit up. this includes the onstar buttons as well as all of the dials to control the manual temp control. ALSO when hitting the night panel button theh lights which are lit (all the radio controls) do not turn off. (the SID still does as well as the other guages other than the spedometer) plz help me.. i dont know what this could be!

so i have this freind. and we havent even been really close freinds.. we really never even talk that much, but for some reason he copies EVERYTHING i do. i get a pay as you go phone and so does he, i switch to a virginmobile phone and so does he, i get a verizon phone and so does he, i tell him i get my clothes from marshals and he goes and shops there now, i start wearing a ring and so does he, i get a watch and so does he, finally the thing that is about to push me over the edge is that i just got a car. (i am about to turn 16 and he already is 16 and already has a car). so i got a 2003 saab 9-3 and i've had it for only a little while and he sent me a craigslist post for a car add (the SAME exact car) and said he is going to get one in a few months and that he's going to have to sell his car..

is it just me or is this a little bit beyond rediculous? i mean it shouldnt bother me.. but it just does. i think it might be because i am really original.. i dont like to go with the crowd i do everything differently, and maybe having someone copy me just makes it feel like all of my work is being ruined. (i mean what 15 year old kid goes.."i want a saab as my first car!!") none! thats my originality that my freind keeps on trying to copy.

SO i guess what im asking is.. would you be annoyed? do you think this is slightly rediculous?.

hi, i just noticed on my 2003 saab 9-3 that on the black strip that runs on both sides of the car directly above all 4 doors is 4 small hidden flaps. they have a little slit in them so you can lift it up with your nail. its on hinges and opens and closes easily. on the inside of the flap is a peice of foam that when closed covers a small raised metal hole. i was wondering if anybody knew what this was for.. and if you own a saab 9-3 (maybe its even on the 9-5 too?) check it out.. and if you know what it is plz tell me!

I know saabs have their problems but most of the common ones have been worked out of this car already.

What i'm asking is do you know anyone who owns this car (specifically year 2003 please) and how reliable was it?? How many miles should i expect to get out of this car???

Hey guys, im looking into getting my first car and i hear saturn makes really good first cars since they are pretty cheap but they are reliable and last a long time.

So i am COMPLETELY stuck between two cars, the 2002 saturn sc2 and the 2004-06 saturn ion.

the sc2 is a little bit older but i look the looks of it, however the interior is very primative. the saturn ion apparently is a tad bit less reliable but the looks are just as good and the interior is wayy updated from the sc2. I will provide links and you tell me which car you like the looks of better.

So i am only 15 but i'm going to be 16 in 8 months. I really want to get a car - my dream car, and to top it all off i might get the opertunity of a life time. An audi tt with 100k miles for only $5,000 and in great condition inside and out! (how could you turn that down?!).

So i've been trying my best to persuade my parents to let me get the car now because it is a 1 time deal with no competition. If i dont take this deal then i wont be able to get that car at all...

So since i dont want to pay for registration and insurance for that long and only being able to take rides in it a few times every week with my dad driving it how bad would it be to let it sit in my driveway and sit it in every night and start her up and possibly rev her a little bit in neutral??

i know its not smart to get a car this early and let it sit there but i just cant bear to pass up the offer!

I am looking into buying an audi tt. I have recently found a pretty good deal on one with 99k miles. I know that people usually make a big deal about reaching 100k miles saying that its alot of miles and to expect things to go wrong soon.

So if you have any experiences with audi's (especially tt) please tell me weather it is good or bad and how many miles you could push yours up to.

by the way the tt i'm looking at has a turbo... I heard those cause problems and go usually at around 100K?

so is it a bad idea? when do you think audi tt's "go"?
