Why do they still put owners manuals in cars when no one reads them?

I saw a guy reading his one day.

I had been out for a ride on a nice day.

As I was coming down Interstate 93 South, I came upon a new car that was traveling below the speed limit and swerving a bit. I kept distance and followed a few miles.

Other traffic was nonexistent.

Since I would much rather have an accident occur behind rather than in front of me, I passed him.

As I passed, I glanced at the driver...

Only to see the driver's manual spread across the steering wheel, while the guy was poking buttons on the dash. He looked from his hand to the book and back at his hand... without a look at the road, and totally oblivious to the motorcycle passing by.

I finally found someone who would read an Owner's manual - and it gave me NO joy.

I read mine.

And I've reported you.
